2017 Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville Michigan.

What is the Cheeseburger Festival?

I have been going to the Cheeseburger Festival almost my whole life.  Although I haven't went in about 5 years, I wanted to go back this year and check it out.  It seems about the same as I remember it to be 5 years ago.  Now that isn't anything bad!  It is a great place to walk around and check out the beach.  Most people go there to sit back, drink, and listen to Jimmy Buffett.  Yes during the festival Caseville, Michigan is set up like Key West.  It is even called "Key North" during the festival.  Everyone has parrot-head decorations outside their trailers or motorhomes.  This ranges from decorations such as blow up palm trees, blow up parrots and flamingos, and all the way to mini tiki bars in their yards.  Some people even are walking around with cheeseburger hats on their head, yes they are wearing a giant cheeseburger, which looks cool and funny at the same time.

Why did I go the Cheeseburger Festival?

It may seems strange that I would go to the Cheeseburger Festival.  Out of everyone you know, you would think of me as never going to something like this.  I don't drink beer and I'm not the biggest Jimmy Buffett fan.  So why did I want to go to the festival?  Just because I don't drink and don't listen to Jimmy Buffett doesn't mean theres nothing else to do there.  In fact I love going to the beach and look at and listen to the waves from the water, I also love to explore places I rarely go to or have never been to, I love to go for walks, and it was my cheat day so how couldn't I go get a burger?

beach and water

What I did while I was there.

I went to the festival with my dad and his friend Rick.  First thing first we all get out of the car, and since we were parked at the beach we decided to go stand around the beach for a few minutes.  I was stupid and forgot my swimming shorts and sandals but I don't think that would've matter anyways.  It was just below 70 degrees and super windy, at least 15 mph winds all day, we even got a little bit of rain on and off.  Anyways, enough with the weather, lets get back to the story.  Since I forgot my beach clothes, I decided to do some video recording for my Youtube channel.  Here's where I noticed something cool.  It was so windy that every once and a while some sand would appear to be floating on top of the cement or even other sand!  I even made the mistake of filming some people that were water (kite) skiing, that wasn't the mistake, the mistake was walking in the sand with regular shoes on.  That whole day I was walking around with the feeling of the gritty sand between my toes.
Rick was getting pretty hungry, so we went to go check out one of the many cheeseburger places in the city.  I ended up getting something called the tropical burger, which was a normal burger except for a couple unique twists, the first being a round slice of sweet pineapple, and the second being a huge surprise to me, some pulled pork on top of the beef patty.  My dad and Rick ended up getting onion rings with their burgers, so I tried one, it was the best onion ring I had ever had, sadly it was way too greasy for me to handle, so I stopped after one onion ring.  Plus I had to save my room for a funnel cake and some ice cream.  After eating we headed back to the beach for some more video and sightseeing then left Caseville.

Closing thoughts.

That is the end of my visit to Caseville for the 2017 Cheeseburger Festival.  In this blog post I wanted to share with you what the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville is like in case you have ever wanted to go there.  I also wanted to use this as a way to practice my story telling, this is something I struggle with, but I want to be able to bring out captivating blogs that give you just as much fun reading as I get from writing the blog!

3 Steps to Finish any Book.

Take it slow or fast but don't get burnt out

The first step will go hand in hand with the next two steps.  Have the goal to read the book whether you are a fast reader or slow reader.  The only thing is that if you read fast or read 100 pages one day don't just read 10 pages the next and lose momentum after that.  Go for steady conistant reading, which brings me to my next point.

Stay consistent

This is probably the biggest problem for most people.  Being consistent with reading can be hard but there is a simple and easy solution that I have found.  The solution that I have found is to have a planned reading time.  Myself I like to read right after my morning meditation or right before my bedtime meditation.  I like to read about 10-20 minutes in the morning and 10-20 at night, but you could always do more or less depending on the time you do have in your day.  I find that if I have a set time for reading I will read, but if I don't set up a time then I will completely forget about it for the day.

Don't judge yourself for your reading speed

Oooohhhh has this been a pain for me.  I always judge my reading speed as being too slow instead of enjoying the book.  The problem with this is that if I feel I am reading "too slow" then I will continue to read slow, while at the same time only paying half attention to the book and half attention to my reading speed.  This shouldn't be an excuse to never improve on your reading speed but more of a guideline to recognize how fast you are reading now and accepting it and improving every time you read.  Because myself I will get irritated easily if I focus on my reading speed being slow, and the more I try to speed it up the more I miss what I am reading and have to read it over again, so what I do is accept my reading speed might be slower than usual today but I am reading this book to learn not to rush through it and miss everything.

Closing thoughts

I hope this helped you read a little smarter.  Reading is a big thing in our lives that so many people overlook.  We are able to learn from people 20, 30, 40, 50 years or more ahead of us, these great people wrote books with their best ideas just so you can read them, so take advantage of it!

My New Workout Routine For Putting On Huge Amounts Of Muscle For Skinny Men.

The importance of changing up your workout routine.

Our bodies get used to everything we do.  If we constantly eat
the same foods over and over it will get used to that food
and form itself around it.  Your body even get used to the
toothpaste and deodorant you use, and those are just little
things you never think about and usually never change.
However your workout routine can be much bigger than
just brushing with different toothpaste or using different deodorant.

Your workout routine can, after time become almost useless for a
while.  Let me tell you a little story to explain why your
workout routine may have once worked great and now doesn't.
Almost everyone has dealt with this and I am dealing with
this right now as well.  Over the past couple weeks
I have had to change ups my workout routine.

I was following the Greek God Program by Kinobody, and I have to
say it was working really well, I was gaining muscle and strength.
However, over the past month or so I have noticed a plateau
which as I said everyone experiences.  My body was
getting used to doing the same workouts every time
I went into the gym.  Even if I did them in a different
order each time to "shock" my muscles they wouldn't grow at all really.

Like I said the Greek God Program did serve me well,
and in a couple months I plan to go back to it once my
body is used to the workout plan I am creating right now.
The one I am creating is still in the works and I am
experimenting with what works for my (skinny guy) body
type and what doesn't.  However I have noticed my
muscles growing more now that I am doing a different routine.

The workout that I am currently creating

Like I said this is still in the works.  I am still testing what is working and what isn't.  I do have some of my workouts figured out for what I want to continue doing.

The workouts include
Arms
-Barbell curls
-Hammer curls
-Preacher bar curls
-Tricep extension
-Skull crushers
-Overhead tricep extension

Back, chest, shoulders
-Shoulder dips (works shoulders and lower chest)
-Dumbbell shoulder press
-Chin ups/weighted chins
-Bent over row
-Close and wide pushups

Legs (what I need to master in the routine)
-Barbell squats
-Barbell or dumbbell lunges
-Calf raises
-Leg extension
-Leg curl
-Or leg press instead of extension and curl

The success I have noticed after just a couple weeks of this workout routine

As stated above I still need to fine tune the leg section the most for
the routine.  I feel I may also need to work on the back section
as well.  However from just a couple weeks of testing
what works and what doesn't I have noticed my arms
explode, a thing many of us skinny guys have trouble doing.
For me I have always had trouble getting definition in my arms,
my chest and back have always been easy for muscle growth
for my body type, but my limbs...  Hell nooooooo.  my
arms and especially my legs always felt like no matter
how much I work them out, they would never grow.

I know I have the arm exercises mastered in terms of the exercises to do.
I still need to record the weight I am using and exactly
how many reps I am doing of each workout.  Right now
the weight I do is a moderate-high weight for me and I
always do 4-8 reps of each workout, except for calf raises
which are around 15-20 reps for intensity.

Lifting heavy seems to be the best for the skinny body type
for gaining muscle mass.  If you are looking for strength gain,
I cannot tell you if it is the best workout.  For strength gain I
would recommend the Greek God Program, where Greg sets
out exactly how much you should be lifting and
pretty much everything is set out for you.

For the sake of this blog post and the fact that I am still testing,
I am going to say that if you are skinny and have trouble
gaining muscle to stick to the lifts I mentioned above, and to
lift a moderate-heavy weight (a weight you can get the full
range of motion without hurting yourself) for 4-8 reps.

Should you do this routine? (recommended for skinny men but anyone can do it if your goal is to put on muscle)

I originally wanted to make this blog post for people who are
skinny like me and have massive amounts of trouble gaining muscle,
instead of massive amounts of muscle.  Sometimes it may
feel impossible to gain muscle if you are skinny.  But what
if you gain muscle kind of easily and just want a new routine?
Well this may work even better for you if you are currently
focussing on lightweight lifts with high reps.

I cannot promise that it will make your muscles grow more,
one because I am not one of those people that can add on
10 pounds of muscle in one month or whatever, and two
because every single person reading this has a different
body and not ones body will work the same.  All I can do
is say that this is what is currently working for me, and I
am sharing this to inspire one person the packing on muscle
is possible even if you are skinny like me!

I hope you gained massive value from this post,  This so far is
one of my favorite ones I have written to this day, because
muscle growth has always been a struggle for me.  Share
your story below, I would love to hear what
struggles you have had with muscle growth.

New Ganifit Goal, Travel Blogs/Vlogs!

My big vision.

I hope to expand Ganifit outside of just self development, fitness, and healthy living and into something more.  Self development and fitness can happen anywhere.  Sure working out and finding a gym may be hard "anywhere".  What I have been wanting to do for some time now is traveling the world, sharing, and inspiring you to do the same.  We are so lucky to live in an age where anyone can share their travel, and that is one of my goals with Ganifit.  I have an excuse to not get on a plane and travel somewhere cool right now and that excuse it money.  But I can let that stop me, which I won't.  I realize there are cities around me that people would love to see that might not be talked about as much as a major city.  While I save up more money to do the big traveling, I will be bringing blogs, and vlogs of the mid-big cities and maybe even small towns that are interesting around me to you to start the travel journey.

What influenced me to want to travel?

Over the past few years I have been fascinated with seeing other parts of America and the world.  I have noticed that I, myself rarely go 10 miles outside of where I live.  So most days I am staying in the same general area never seeing anything new.  What really fueled my ambition to start this new path for Ganifit was when my parents and I went to Illinois.  Although it was only a 5-6 hour drive it really opened my mind and inspired me to start bringing travel into Ganitfit.  However at the moment I am saving up money to be able to travel, I don't want to let this hold me back from doing small traveling to cities near me for now that I never get to check out because I never take the time to go to these cities.

When I was in Illinois and driving though Michigan and Indiana I noticed how much more open my mind felt.  Maybe its just me, but I feel like I am in a box the more time I spend in one space or general area, and my mind and body feel unable to be fully open.  I like to notice and acknowledge the world and seeing new places or places I rarely go helps me to exactly that.

Closing thoughts.

To wrap up, I will be sharing the places I go as well as vlogging it.  I have no clue how often I will do this but I plan on doing the small time travel at least once a month for now.  I hope this also inspires you to check out cities around you that you never even think of.  I would also love to hear your traveling experiences, what you love what you hate, what was your favorite place to travel to?

Exactly How I Made an Extra $500 in 2 Weeks.

On July 7, 2017 I set myself a goal to make an extra $500 by the end of this month ( July 31, 2017).  The rule was I couldn't make this money from work, it had to be completely outside of my job.  Before I tell you how I made the extra $500 in the past 2 weeks I want to tell you 1) why I set this goal and 2) why I am writing this blog post for you.

I set this goal to be a stepping stone for myself.  I said to myself "If I can make an extra $500 this month why can't I do an extra AT LEAST an extra $500+ next month?"  I also love having money I didn't have before because it brings down the stress of having "just enough" money.  Secondly I wanted to share this with you because almost anyone reading this right now can replicate this method this instant!  You may have a gold mine around you right now and not even know it.  All you need it a smartphone, or a camera and computer to get started.

Craigslist

Maybe you have a lot of junk around your house like I do, or you just have stuff you don't use anymore.  Whatever it is that you don't have a need for take out your phone right now, take a few pictures of at least one thing you don't use, and post it to Craigslist.  It will only take you 5-10 minutes for each item you put up for sale.  And the best part the more you sell the more space you will have in your home!

Exactly How I Made an Extra $500 in 2 Weeks.
Myself I will say this, it isn't guaranteed you will get any calls right away but thats okay, just leave the items you have for sale posted and renew them every 2 days.  I have had instances where I had my item up for a week and kept resisting every 2 days and no one called about it, then after ra week to a week and a half I got 3 people asking about the item in 1 hour!

Pricing may be one of the most important things next to the pictures you take.  Pricing determines whether someone will even look at your listing.  I can say from my experience if someone has an outrageous price for something I don't even care to look at their listing, and in turn I scroll right past it.  However I don't recommend listing something cheap or at the exact amount you want for it.  If you are selling something you will be happy with $75 for, list it for $100.  Craigslist is all about negotiation.  Some people however don't negotiate and thats good for you because you get more money than you wanted for it!

Closing Thoughts

I hope this short simple post helped you make some extra money this month.  I would love to hear your results, when you make your first sale, and when you make your first $100 or more!  I really love to hear people having success so don't be shy!  Share your results in the comments, and BRAG!  We all love to win, so get out there and WIN!

Cheers,

Brian

Price vs. Value.

Recently I have purchased a book for $1.25.  Right now you are probably wondering why I would buy a book that is that cheap.  It might sound like a waste of money.

Last month I was at a goodwill type of place (the reason the book was so cheap).  After looking at clothes and some of the old items people have sold to the goodwill my dad and I decided to look at books.  Long story short I was joking with my dad saying "wouldn't it be funny if we found Poor Charlie's Almanack by Charlie Munger here?" On Amazon the book currently ranges from $59-$135 on sale.  Sadly we didn't find this book, but after some joking around my dad found Charlie's book called On Success.  This book currently ranges from $100-175 great condition or new on Amazon.  However the used version of the book is still pretty expensive at a whopping $58!  But the best part the book looked brand new when we picked it up!

I have a couple options right now with the book.  I can sell it and 150 times my money, or keep it and get wisdom from one of the richest people alive!  There is one side of me saying to take the quick cash, but I know "a fence that is put up fast comes down fast".  So instead I am deciding to keep the book, even though half the things he talks about goes right over my head, the other half I get right away.

Literally almost every page so far has at least one gold nugget of wisdom in it. Like I said some things he says in the book flies right over my head, but this is another reason for me to keep the book.  This way I can re-read it over and over throughout my life and look back on it whenever I need to.

I am excited to read more of this book each and every day.  I am currently half way done with it and it seems like every new page opens my eyes more clearly!

Why not sell the book for quick $$$$$:

I'm not saying that an extra $100-175 wouldn't be nice to have, but the question is, is it worth it to sell the book?  For me the answer is no, because I am learning from one of the richest people in the world.  Sure I could sell the book, but what is the money going to do? For me it would probably just sit there, or be spent on food for a month or so.  If I keep the book, I have the wisdom of the billionaire Charlie Munger whenever I need to read it!

Closing thoughts:

How has this helped you?  Do you have something you bought cheap that you could sell for a bunch of money, but realize its value to you may be more than the money you could get payed for it?  Share your thoughts on Price vs. Value in the comments.

Also if you would like to get your hands on one of the greatest books of all time (in my opinion) and help me out as well, please feel free to click the link and purchase the book by clicking the link below.  You will not be disappointed!

Should You Take a Loss to Make a Customer Happy?

Today what I want to share with you is if you should take a loss to make your customer happy.

A few weeks ago I made a sale Dropshipping and ran into a serious problem.  My supplier Home Depot ran out of the item online my customer bought.
I had a few options, first being to buy the item with express shipping and spend over $100 for a $40 item, to buy from another place such as Amazon for $80 or to go pick it up at the store, pack and ship the item myself but at least I wouldn't lose more than $5.

In reality I had two options that were "good" I could either 1: cancel the order all together and not lose any money, and leave the customer possibly pissed and not in any way happy with the result.  Or 2:  I could pick it up, get the item ready and ship it out to the customer.

Obviously I chose the second option to lose a few dollars and make someone happy with their purchase.  Why would I do this?

- First off the customer is number one
- If I lose a few dollars but the customer is happy he/she has a better chance of leaving a good review for me.
- If I lose a few dollars and the customer is happy he/she is also more likely to purchase from me again in the future for the service I have provided here.
- I am a service based business and look at the other persons situation. (If I was to purchase an item and someone "ran out of stock" because they would lose a few dollars I would be pissed!)  Wouldn't you?

Since I would like to get to the point and make this really simple and easy for you if you are struggling with or have to make this decision yourself is me asking you one question.  How much money are you willing to lose to make your customer happy?  This number will be different for everyone, for you it could be $5 or $500.

Closing thoughts.
I hope this blog helped you with your selling and made you and your customer happy.

Thanks for reading!
-Brian
